We are a driven people. As Americans we cherish our power and right to self-determination. We want to make life work on our terms and for our ends. However, we soon discover our personal limits and capacities. Sooner or later this can make us angry and jaded. Jesus offers a different way to live life, a way of life that leads to rest and peace.

An essential part of our Christian faith is life together. Our God is a relational God! Our understanding of life together is rooted in the community of the Trinity, modeled by the heart & ways of Jesus, and it is to be lived out in the heart and ways of His people. This is why Paul tells the entire Thessalonian church: 5:14 And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
