Grab your sled or tube and join us on Saturday, Feb. 25, for a day of sledding at Paradise at Mt. Rainier. We will meet at the church at 9:00 a.m. and caravan up to the mountain. Bring a sack lunch or plan on buying food in the visitor’s center. This is a family event, so a parent or guardian must accompany their children. Only “soft” sliding devices, such as flexible sleds, inner tubes, and saucers, are allowed. They DO NOT ALLOW hard toboggans or runner sleds. The church has a bunch of tubes, but we recommend that you bring your own sled or tube. EVERY vehicle must carry tire chains, and often two-wheeled drive vehicles are required to put them on at Longmire. The entrance fee for Mt. Rainier National park is $25 per vehicle, unless you have an annual pass.
