The goal of community groups at Elim is to help people develop and nurture a more vital connection with God and one another and to provide creative ways to serve and reach others for Christ. Each group is different, depending on the vision of its leader(s): groups meet on various days and times, each has its own feel, and each may focus its time in different ways—praying, studying the Bible, discussing different books and/or topics, and serving the church and community.
Our FALL GROUPS KICKOFF happened on Sunday, September 24, and was a great success! It was awesome to see the energy and enthusiasm that dozens of leaders at Elim have for creating a space where people can connect with God and one another. If you missed it, and didn’t get the opportunity to sign up for more information on groups that might be a good “fit” for you, here are some next steps:
- Review our current list of groups. Contact the leaders of any groups that you are interested in. If that group is currently at capacity, we are still encouraging leaders to place you on a “waiting list” for more information if space opens up or a new group is started.
- If you are unsure how to contact a group leader, for help getting connected, please contact Larry Short
- Elim’s Women’s Ministries and Men’s Ministries also host Bible studies and small-group meetings. Click the links for details.
- Learn about seven guiding principles for community groups at Elim. Then choose a group that fits you! Our goal is to see every person who calls Elim their home church making connections with God and with brothers and sisters in Christ, in community!
